This is one of the instances where the painting appeared unexpectedly; I don’t remember where I was headed when I started it, but it wasn’t here. One morning, coming back to see how the paint had settled overnight I saw the mountains, lake, and reflections, only needing the addition of a shoreline and trees. That’s one of the reasons I love working with acrylic paint, it changes subtly when it dries and you see things that weren’t evident when you painted them.
